30 PDU Categories are broken down into 2 major categories:

  • Education – Need to get 18 PDU’s minimum through these sub categories
    1. 4 PDU’s from Technical1
    2. 4 PDU’s from Leadership2
    3. 4 PDU’s from Business/ Strategic3
    4. Remaining 6 PDU’s cane be from any area’s from above.
  • Giving Back – Need to get 12 PDU’s minimum through
    1. Volunteering
    2. Knowledge creation
    3. As working Professional (4 Maximum)

1Definition: Knowledge, Skills and behaviors related to specific domains of projects, programs and portfolio management.

1Examples:

  • Requirements Gathering Techniques
  • Agile Tools and Techniques
  • Risk Management
  • Scope Management

2Definition: Knowledge, Skills and behaviors specific to leadership-oriented, cross cutting skills that help an organization achieve its business goals.

2Examples:

  • Conflict Management
  • Influencing
  • Giving/ Receiving Feedback
  • Emotional Intelligence

3Definition: Knowledge of and expertise in the industry or organization that enhances performance an better delivers business outcomes.

3Examples:

  • Strategic Planning/ Alignment
  • Business Acumen
  • Finance
  • Complexity Management
